(A 1 Page Poem)
I walked across, an honourable task,
Beautiful scenery spans below,
the peat blood river flow,
I walked somewhere, to nowhere,
nowhere, I did know.

CALLANISH
(A Delightful 10 Page Tale)
The March of the Standing Stones
The shimmering moon does dance,
floating, skimming, the dreaming lady of the hills.
Gliding, stroking, so gentle in the night.
A magic, secret, silver, white,
the moon, to swoon, so soon, be on her lips,
the moonlight kiss,
rising mist to clouds,
the breath of life,
reborn, wake from the night.

(A 1 Page Poem)
Ghost blue boat, towering white sail,
creeping in, on velvet patchwork purple tide.
A secret whisper, on gentle breeze,
pursed lips, blow the dust reveal.
Sunlight, quickly hide, blankets of sleeping hills.
The giant sail, flip, flicker white,
fragile, moth, to find a light.

Through a silence, of eternity?
Still, restless be the dawn
the sunset creep and peep
as if to stalk, cool breathing mist,
The breath of life,
as Garry Beach is kissed.

(A 2 Page Poem)
So still. The rolling, flowing highland hills.
The eyes free glance, a drama to behold.
'Tis Scotland's skin, heather clad,
Gliding downwards, what tale unfolds?
A woolly old time beard,
or a chain of flowers from a blooming lass.

1939-45. WAR.
With the devil, time and fate nae wait,
death be at the door.
For the lives be lost
in a timeless cost
war's everlasting score.

(A 5 Page Tale/Poem)
On Inaclete and old Bells Road,
The kippers high did hang.
The smoke did rise to tease the breeze
to drift across the land.
And when my fishing boat came drifting in,
Shonag would grin and twirl.
She was my love, my own princess.
Shonag my herring girl.

(A 3 Page Tale/Poem)
Sitting on a pile of peat
or a large stone by the fire,
a cold winter evening closing in,
the cow safe in the byre.
Food served for all, on a wooden clàr,
the ceiling, sealed, with peat-bog tar.
The family circle
God's golden ring of life
the flames, entwine, uplifting love
carried on a spiralling, smoking, twist,
through a peephole in the roof
to the shining moon above.

(A 3 Page Tale)
In a peat bog crag
at the edge of time,
a lady stood, so still.
She was dressed in black
in some kind of sack,
she was staring, at an old stone mill.

THE TALE OF THE LEWIS CHESSMEN
(Includes 7 Pages in Total)
The old cow, rubbed upon the sand,
and dug her horns in deep,
an old bag fell upon the land,
and a whistling wind blew dust
across the ragged peat.
MacLeod stood frozen to the spot
as he saw the chessmen drop.

THE WRECK AND THE RAINBOW
(A 7 Page Tale/Poem)
I count remnants of shells and crabs,
a cycle of the living dead,
the rotting seagull, carbuncle,
the old ram's bleached, white head.
Suddenly, a shadow is cast over me,
I raise my head to face a tower,
a ship's death bed.
Cast out, standing on the rocks,
the blood of rust drips endlessly,
a grave, a monument to
the Glory of the dead.
Above the wreck, a rainbow arch,
a halo, crown, or the horseshoe
upside-down?
Decry, forlorn, some scrap in a nook,
frozen in time,
by the spirit of bad luck.

Lightning flash, deep into dark, "see"!
A guiding star so bright.
The four men stare into the black of night,
a loving wife, an angel's face, a saviour, delight.
